Bodega Noemia J . Alberto completes a deep terroir exploration of this four hectare vineyard. Original rootstock vines of Malbec and Merlot vines are interplanted. The estate does its own Massale selection to propogate the best vines.

The 2012 J . Alberto is a masculine Malbec with a dash of Merlot from a vineyard in Mainque that was planted in 1955. The wine is very aromatic and showy, with a complex nose of violets, blueberries, plums, maraschino cherries and hints of licorice, Chinese ink and raw meat.
